The Institute, from its existence is continue to organize seminars, symposia etc. highlighting the topics of national importance such as national integration, communal harmony etc. The papers presented in the seminars become the source of our publications to get an annual issue of the research Journal of the Institute |
| The Institute also holds Mushairas,
Char Baits and Qawwalis as a token of cultural programme. |
| Under the scheme of Nawwab Muhammad
Ali Khan Fellowship and Nawwab Amir ud Daulah Scholarship, the Institute
awards two Nawwab Muhammad Ali Khan Fellowships and four Nawwab Amir
ud Daulah Scholarships Rs. 1,800/- and Rs. 400/- per month respectively,
given only to those scholars registered in any University established
by law in India or to the distinguished scholars having their topics
based on the research source material of the Institute. |
| A scheme of One Year Diploma in Computer Applications and Multilingual DTP Course sponsored by the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language, Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Education), New Delhi, Government of India is also successfully running in the Institute from the year 1999-2000. Under this scheme 60 students are allowed to get training of computerized calligraphy (DTP) alongwith the training of the advanced techniques of computer. |

The Government of Rajasthan is also running a One Year Manuscriptalogy
Course in the Institute. A Manuscriptalogy Class contains 10 students
every year in which per student is paid Rs. 500/- per month just to
strengthen the work of deciphering and consultation of the extinct languages
of Arabic and Persian subsequently a team of such persons who can read
and decipher old and undecipherable manuscripts, coins, seals etc. can
be available to sister departments or the persons in need and also to
decipher the documents in the courts etc. alongwith to know the kind
of paper and ink also. |
| National Council for Promotion
of Urdu Language, Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department
of Education), New Delhi, Government of India has started the Course
of Calligraphy and Graphic Design in this Institute from 1st
April, 2001. Functional Arabic Course : Under the scheme of two years functional arabic course sponsored by N.C.P.U.L., New Delhi. This Scheme is running from the year 2004.Having done this course 170 students are benefittted and 25 students are taking training under this scheme. |
| It is also a facility to
the research scholars that they can stay in Scholars Guest House
on subsidized rates. |
| The
Institute encourages all the scholars and provides to them each and
every facility in their research pursuits. |
| Various
activities as the editing and translating of manuscripts, cataloguing,
classification and calendaring of printed books and the work of preparation
of Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hindi and English hand lists for ready reference
etc. are all in progress. |
| The
Institute by displaying the beautiful specimens of its rare art of calligraphy
attracts the visitors. |
| Different
artifacts are exhibited by establishing a separate Art Gallery. |
| The
work of translation, transcription and publication is also in progress. |
| Just
to preserve and conserve the collections got in launching survey campaigns,
the work of lamination, binding, fumigation, photostat and microfilming
is got done so that the age of the books and manuscripts
may get longer and longer and the source may be useful more and
more for research scholars. |
| The
Institute participates in the national and international Book Fairs
organized by various States in India where too the Institute exhibits
and sells its publications. |
